Scenes From the Weekend

Hi from sunny San Francisco! I got here this morning after an early flight out of Philly and will be here for two weeks for work. We are actually staying in San Ramon but will be doing things around the area. I can’t wait to share all about it on the blog and especially can’t wait for next weekend when we are free to do whatever, so like typical mid-twenties aged people, we planned a trip to wine country!

It is going to be a fun few weeks, but before I share that, let’s back it up to the weekend. I don’t know if it was just Philadelphia but the weather was GORGEOUS this weekend. I tried to spend as much time outside as possible and Tom and I started it off with happy hour in the city at Tria, a wine bar. We scored an outdoor seat and had such an a nice night people watching and sipping our beverages (wine for me, beer for him)

On Saturday, Tom and I went to brunch with my family to celebrate my dad’s 60th (!) birthday. I won’t be around on his actual birthday next week, so I wanted to make sure I was able to celebrate with him before hand. After brunch, we headed to the NFL draft here in Philadelphia. They had so many different activities for everyone of all ages and due to the amazing weather, it was crowded. Tom’s favorite team is the Patriots so I had to snap a picture of him by the Pat’s helmet.

We went to our favorite beer garden after, grabbed pizza and then called it a night. I had to be up early this morning for my flight to San Fran. Thanks to time change, we arrived at 11:30 in SF and immediately headed to a late Mexican brunch at Arguello in Presidio. Chips & guac? Yes, please!

A group of us checked out the area and wandered around some alleys until we eventually came to a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a beautiful day and the bridge against the bright blue sky is really breathtaking. I actually biked across it a few years ago when I was in California with my parents, but man, that view does not get old.

We stumbled upon a fun outdoor festival where people were lounging on the grass, enjoying food trucks, and soaking up the awesome weather. We all grabbed some ice-cream before heading out! Yum!

Now I’m writing to you all from my king size bed in my hotel suite in San Ramon – this is my first work trip ever and wow, they hook us up right.

Hope everyone has an excellent week and follow along on more of my adventures on @erinliveswhole!
