Things I’m Loving Friday #13

Well hellloooo there! Happy Friday and I bet you’re surprised to see me popping in here on a Friday, aren’t you? I started to take a break from doing Friday Favorite posts because I wasn’t sure exactly where I wanted to take this blog. And quite honestly, life has been busier than ever. My load at work has really picked up and it has been my prime focus over the past few weeks.

I’m still trying to figure out that balance between where I can manage my work, my blog, my social life – I mean I am 24, living in an extremely fun city and trying to live my life to the fullest.

Recipes have been great to post and keeping me busy because unlike Friday Favorites, I can write them ahead of time. For the favorites, I like to share what I’m currently loving within the past week, so it requires more engagement during the week before I post.

Anyway, I’m excited to be popping in this week and sharing about some of my favorites! Let me know something that you are also loving in the comments!

These cookies are my go-to vegan cookies whenever I’m in the mood to bake. I think I’ve made them about twenty times and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon – they are so perfectly soft and both freeze and warm-up well! Thank you, Rachel for sharing this recipe!

  • Buying Myself Flowers

Last week, I was shopping for produce and I saw these beautiful sunflowers sitting right there and staring at me. Since I’m a recent college grad, I try to be as money conscious as possible but something about these beauties were calling to me. I decided to treat myself and they ended up lasting a few weeks. I’m currently staring at them as they have officially wilted over and I think it’s time to get rid of them…but definitely worth the treat!

  • Weekends Spent Outside and with Friends

I think the caption speaks for itself, but I’ve really been loving the amazing weather recently and it makes me thankful that I live in a climate that has all four seasons. Being able to spend time outside and with friends has been the highlight of my weekends recently. Hi Chels!

When I asked Instagram what kind of headphones I should be getting for running outside, it was clear that I needed to try these wireless headphones. They have been a total game changer when it comes to running. No more wires, they are super lightweight, and are completely waterproof. I would recommend these to anyone!!

Although the picture above doesn’t quite do the meal justice, getting this package from Beetnik foods has been an absolute meal prep game changer! Straight from their website: “Our line of certified organic, ready-made meals are gluten-free and created using sustainable and ethical farming practices. Flavors range from traditional fare to classical worldly cuisines.” Pictured above is the Thai Style Grass Fed Beef with Coconut Rice and it was out of this world. Perfect for weeks when you know you’re going to be busy.

Have a great weekend, friends!
