Things I’m Loving Friday #14

Hey, friends! Long time no “Things I’m Loving Friday” and I’m back and better than ever. I’ve had some people reach out to me and tell me that they missed these types of posts because it’s fun to peek into things that I’m doing or things that I’m loving. So I’m back for now. Let me know if you like these kinds of posts and I’ll keep them coming!

As for my life right now, I’m currently in Nashville with my boyfriend, Tom. Neither of us have ever been here before and we knew we wanted to explore a couple more places inside the United States before we take our travels elsewhere. We went to Austin in January, if you remember, and we had so much fun. We actually found pretty cheap flights to Nashville and are staying in an Airbnb, which is how we like to travel.

If there are any must see things to do, places to eat at, or spots to go – let me know!

Oktoberfest with Friends

This past weekend my friends and I went to an Oktoberfest in Philly and it was so much fun. The weather was absolutely perfect and it was the first time that we could really wear jeans and fall attire – cue the basic girl outfits coming out.

We had unlimited access to beer and I tried some of the best pumpkin beers ever. I can’t wait to try to find some of them in stores because I took pictures of the ones I liked best.

My Pumpkin Cheesecake Freezer Bites

If you haven’t made these yet, what’re you waiting for? It’s pumpkin season baby! These freezer cheesecake bites are so delicious and the walnut spiced crust just makes them even better than expected.

Fall Farmer’s Markets

Philadelphia has some of the best farmers markets in the fall. I’ve been loving being able to walk down the street and get some of the most fresh and local produce. In the summer, I would grab some of the juiciest peaches and now that it is fall, the honeycrisp apples and fall squash’s are prime. If you have a farmers market close to you, utilize it! Eat local.

When Wellness isn’t Well Anymore

This podcast episode (Nut Butter Radio) by Holly + Hannah was one of my most favorite podcast episodes that I’ve listened to lately. We all get really wrapped up in thinking that the top influencers on Instagram know it all. That they are the epitome of health, but in fact, many of them struggle with their own issues.

Luckily, I have become so in tune with my body that I really try not to let anyone else’s opinion on when/what/where to eat affect me anymore, but I credit a lot of that to the troubles I once went through. Their episode gets deep. They speak about different influencers who seem to be doing more harm than good. It was VERY good, especially when you see those same influencers doing the same thing.

Happy Friday, friends! Tell me what you’re doing this weekend.
