Things I’m Loving Friday
Hey, hey, hey! HAPPY FRIDAY. Well this week wasn’t too bad, am I right? Something about a shortened week makes it seem like we just raced right into Friday, but I for sure ain’t complaining. I managed to get sick this week, probably from having too much fun this past weekend, but I am starting to feel better.
This weekend begins my move to Philly and I couldn’t be more excited! I am finally getting to live in my favorite city in the world. I’ve lived on a college campus in the northern part of the city but I’m excited to finally be right downtown. I’m beyond ready to experience all that it has to offer and although I won’t fully live there until next weekend, phase one of moving my stuff down there begins tomorrow.
In typical Friday fashion, I’m sharing some of my favorite things that I’m loving this week – please share your favorites in the comments below!
- Girl time at the beach
This past weekend, I was down the shore with a bunch of my friends and we had such a good time. We’ve done this for a couple years and it is always so great to get that girl time. While I love spending time in the city with all of my friends, its always special to have a girls getaway. Our days looked like laying out by the pool all day with bloody Marys and champagne, happy hours, getting dinner from delicious restaurants and then going out for the night. I would say that the sickness was worth it 🙂
- Whole Wheat Pancakes
I have been on a whole wheat flour kick lately. For a while, all I was baking with was grain-free alternatives but I have wanted to switch it up. I recently made CookieandKate’s simple vegan pancakes and they called for whole-wheat flour. These pancakes were so light and fluffy, and still healthy and filling. The recipe could easily be switched out for plain white flour if that is your thang, but just don’t forget the maple syrup. #naturalsugar
YES. Kaitlyn Bristowe recently debuted her new podcast, Off the Vine and you guys, it is gold. Being the big Bachelorette fan that I am, I seriously have loved Kaitlyn ever since her season. Following her and Shawn on Snapchat is absolutely hysterical and that is coming from someone who really does not like following celebrities on Snapchat.
Well this new podcast is so entertaining and there has only been one episode out so far, so it isn’t too late to check it out. On the website here is how she describes it: “OFF THE VINE is a space where girls (and gents) can tune in and feel empowered to be themselves,” said BRISTOWE. “It’s witty and unapologetic. Sometimes, we get stuck in this cookie-cutter world and forget the value of real, candid conversations that inspire us and challenge our thinking. I’m bringing it back, baby.”
Add it to your playlist for next time you’re going for a run, walk or long drive!
- Extreme Caviar Hair Serum
This past weekend, my friend Amy suggested that I try some of her hair serum by Miriam Quevedo to help keep the ends of my hair healthy. Right when I started using it, I knew I was going to want to order some for myself because of the absolutely delicious smell and the way it made my ends so soft. As someone who doesn’t always get hair cuts when she should (whoops!) this product is a total life saver. I just ordered mine from Nordstroms!
