Key Ingredients to make Easy Cherry Pie
– Cherries – Maple syrup – Flour – Vanilla – Lemon juice
Preheat oven and grease a 9 inch pie dish. Add flour, salt, and butter to a food processor. Blend until dough begins to form.
Add in maple syrup. Blend again. Place dough into bowl and form into ball. Refrigerate while making pie filling.
Add cherries to large saucepan with lemon juice. Cook. In a separate bowl, mix together maple syrup and arrowroot powder, then stir mixture into cherries.
Roll out one of the dough balls into a circle. Place into the bottom of a greased pie dish. Repeat with the remaining crust, and set aside.
Pour cherry filling into pie crust. Add top crust, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with turbinado sugar. Bake and enjoy!
