Key Ingredients to make Spaghetti Squash
Squash Olive Oil
Microwave the cleaned spaghetti squash for 4 minutes to soften it for easier cutting. Cut the squash in half lengthwise to make two boat-like halves. Drizzle olive oil over the flesh of the squash and spread it with your hand.
Place the halves face down on the baking sheet. Bake for 40-45 minutes at 350°F until the skin is soft and fork can easily pierce through.
After baking, wait to let steam escape and prevent sogginess. Once cooled scoop out and discard or save seeds. Use a fork to pull the squash flesh away from the peel, creating spaghetti-like strands. Pull fork in the same direction as strands for longest noodles.
