Ingredients
– Ground chicken – Yellow onion – Butter – Breadcrumbs – Turmeric – Garam masala – Curry powder – Tomato paste – Whole milk
In a large bowl, combine chicken, grated onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Shape mixture into 20 meatballs and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook meatballs for 6-7 minutes, turning to brown all sides.
Add 2 tbsp butter to the skillet. Cook diced onion for 2-3 minutes until softened. Add garlic, ginger, turmeric, garam masala, curry powder, salt, and pepper.
Stir in tomato paste, then whisk in whole milk until smooth. Pour in chicken stock and bring to a light simmer. Add remaining 2 tbsp butter and let sauce thicken for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Return meatballs to the skillet, coating them with the sauce. Simmer for another 5 minutes before serving. Serve over rice and with naan for a delicious meal.
