Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened (1.5 sticks)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 8oz soft caramels
- 1 tbsp milk/cream
- flakey sea salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add softened butter and sugars. Beat using a hand mixer or stand mixer until creamy.
- Once creamy, beat in egg and vanilla.
- In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Slowly add dry ingredients to wet and mix until well combined, scraping down sides as needed.
- Let dough chill for 2 hours.
- Roll about 2 tbsp dough into balls and bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes or until just slightly golden around the edges. Let cool.
- While cookies are cooling, making caramel sauce by adding caramels and milk to microwave safe dish. Melt in 30 second increments, stirring in between until fully melted.
- Add caramel to each cooled cookie and sprinkle with sea salt.
