Ingredients

  • 2 apples diced and frozen (I used honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup greek yogurt plain or vanilla
  • 2/3 cup almond milk
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • optional: whipped cream & cinnamon for topping

Method

  1. In a high speed blender, add ingredients in order as listed. I prefer my apples frozen, but if not add in 4-5 ice cubes.
  2. Blend until totally smooth. Add more almond milk if needed.
  3. Pour into two glasses and enjoy! Top with whipped cream and cinnamon if desired.

Notes

  • Choose the Right Apple Variety: Skip the Red Delicious! Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples are the way to go here because they balance sweetness without making the smoothie taste too sugary.
  • Freeze Your Apples Ahead of Time: Using frozen apples gives the smoothie that thick, creamy texture you're looking for, and it saves you from adding a bunch of ice cubes that can water it down.
  • Layer Your Blender Correctly: Always add the heavier, solid ingredients like the diced apples to the blender first and the lighter liquids and spices on top — this helps everything blend together more smoothly and evenly.
