Prep: 5Cook: 20Total: 25 minutes
Yield 12 rice krispies 1x

  • 2 sticks butter (1 cup)
  • 20oz mini marshmallows
  • 5 cups rice krispies
  • 3 cups crushed golden grahams
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

  1. In a large dutch oven, heat two sticks of butter over medium high heat. In order to brown, keep heat at medium high and whisk occasionally. Allow butter to start foaming and turning golden brown, this takes about 5-6 minutes. Keep an eye to not let it burn.
  2. Turn heat to low and add in 3/4 of the marshmallows. Stir until all melted.
  3. Turn off heat and add in rice krispies and golden grahams. Mix until well combined, then add in the other 1/4 of the marshmallows, salt, and vanilla. Mix again.
  4. Press tightly into a greased 9×13 dish with a wet hand. Let cool at room temperature before cutting.
  5. Store at room temp.
