White Chocolate Candy Cane Cookies

Enjoy the flavors of the season with these extra festive White Chocolate Candy Cane Cookies. Made with peppermint extract, butter, vanilla, chocolate chips, and candy canes, sweet and minty tastes burst from each bite!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips – sometimes I do a little more
  • 3/4 cup broken candy cane pieces

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat together butter and sugar until creamy. Once creamy, add in egg, vanilla, and peppermint. Beat until smooth.
  2. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until all combined and dough forms.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips and candy cane pieces. Scoop dough into balls and place on parchment lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 for 11-13 minutes or until cooked through. Let cool on rack for longer. Sprinkle with leftover candy cane pieces.
