The perfect brownie batter for dipping
If you’ve ever made a batch of brownies simply because you wanted a spoonful of batter, this healthy protein brownie batter is for you.
Made with a delicious combination of cocoa powder, oat flour, almond milk, honey, and more, this mouth watering brownie batter recipe was created exclusively without eggs. It’s intended to be enjoyed unbaked, and it’s perfect for dipping things like graham crackers and pretzels!
It’s also made with the addition of chocolate protein powder, making it a high protein snack. Win-win!
Ingredients in this healthy protein brownie batter
To make this dairy-free protein brownie batter, we’ll be using a set of 7 ingredients, plus toppings.
- Oat flour: Start with 1/2 cup of oat flour. This is going to contribute a great flavor while making the batter perfectly thick!
- Chocolate protein powder: Then, add protein with 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder. If you have vanilla, that works too.
- Cocoa powder: Add to the chocolate taste by including 2 tbsp of cocoa powder.
- Salt: Then, throw in a pinch of salt. This one is important!
- Almond milk: Use 1/2 cup of almond milk to help the batter reach the correct consistency.
- Honey: Then, sweeten things up with 1 tbsp of honey. For a vegan batter, use maple syrup instead.
- Vanilla extract: Then, finish off the main part of the batter with 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
- Toppings: Chocolate chips and flakey sea salt make the perfect toppings!
- For dipping: Use your favorite graham crackers and pretzels for dipping.

Recipe Tips
How do you add protein to baked goods?
This recipe seamlessly weaves in protein with protein powder. Just mix it right into the batter, and you won’t detect a thing! If using chocolate, it will contribute to the overall chocolate flavor. You can also add a spoonful of nut butter (peanut butter, cashew butter, etc.) for even more protein.
Can I use any type of protein powder in these brownies?
Any brand of protein powder will work in this recipe, and most flavors will work too (such as chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry)! Vegan protein powders work too.
What is the serving size for brownie batter?
This recipe yields 1 serving.
