Get ready to indulge with my awesome Lucky Charms Bark recipe! With colorful marshmallows, crunchy pretzels, and sweet white chocolate, it’s the perfect snack for any get-together. It’s sweet and crunchy, making it a crowd-pleaser that’s super easy to whip up and enjoy.

Easy and Sweet Lucky Charms Chocolate Bark

When I was a little girl, my all-time favorite cereal was Lucky Charms. And now, as an adult, I still love it just as much! It’s such a fun and colorful cereal that always brings back great memories.

That’s why I’m so excited to share this delicious and easy-to-make recipe for 7-Ingredient Lucky Charms Bark.

It’s a magical treat that mixes colorful cereal marshmallows with crunchy pretzels and creamy white chocolate. It’s a great pick for parties or a special snack, and it’s not just eye-catching—it’s super easy to whip up.

With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a playful and tasty mix everyone will enjoy. Whether you’re gearing up for a holiday bash or just want a fun activity with the kids, this recipe is a winner!

Ingredients In This Puppy Chow Recipe

This recipe may seem like a lot of ingredients, but they all come together to create the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Here’s what you’ll need to make it:

  • Rice Chex: As the base for the puppy chow, this cereal provides a light and crunchy base for the bark. You’ll need 3 big cups.
  • Lucky Charms: The star of this recipe, the colorful marshmallows add a burst of sweetness and fun to each bite.
  • Pretzel sticks: Adding a touch of saltiness, these pretzels also provide an added crunch to the bark. Be sure to crush them slightly for easier eating! Use gluten-free pretzels if needed.
  • Salted peanuts: Adding another layer of saltiness, protein, and crunch, these peanuts are a classic addition to puppy chow recipes. If you have a nut allergy, feel free to omit them or substitute them with another type of nut.
  • White chocolate chips: The key ingredient in this bark, white chocolate, provides the sweet coating that holds everything together. Use high-quality chips for the best results. You’ll need about 20 ounces or 3 cups.
  • Green M&Ms: These little chocolate candies are perfect for adding more color and texture to the bark. Plus, who doesn’t love a pop of chocolate in their treat? You’ll need about 3 cups, but feel free to use more or less to your liking.
  • Coconut oil: Just a small amount of coconut oil is needed to help thin out the white chocolate for easier coating. You can also use butter if you don’t have any on hand.

Kitchen Tools Required

Here’s a bit more information about what I used to make this lucky charms bark recipe.

  • Large Bowl
  • Microwavable Bowl
  • Spatula
  • Parchment Paper
  • Baking Sheet

For measuring, you will need a cup and a tablespoon.

How To Make Lucky Charms Bark At Home

To make this recipe, start by mixing together the rice Chex, Lucky Charms, pretzels, peanuts, and green M&Ms in a large bowl. Then melt the white chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments until smooth.

Pour the melted white chocolate over the snack mix and stir until each piece is coated. Spread out the mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before breaking apart into chunks.

Substitution Tip

If you find yourself missing an ingredient, check this list before running to the store! There may be a substitute for what you need.

  • For gluten-free puppy chow, be sure to use gluten-free pretzels and check the ingredients on the marshmallows and M&Ms.
  • If you don’t have rice Chex, you can use corn Chex or any other type of cereal.

Recipe Tips

Below are some common questions when preparing Lucky Charms Bark. Don’t see the answer you’re looking for? Leave a comment at the bottom of this post!

What’s the best way to crush the pretzels?

For perfect pretzel pieces, place them in a plastic bag and gently crush them with a rolling pin.

Can I use other types of chocolate instead of white chocolate?

Absolutely! You can experiment with dark or milk chocolate for different flavor combinations.

How do I make this lucky charms bark gluten-free?

This dessert is actually mostly gluten-free except for the pretzels. You could substitute them with gluten-free pretzel sticks or leave them out altogether!

Storing leftovers

If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, keep it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
