Ingredients in this garlic cheese dip
This recipe starts with a base of garlic and is made complete with the addition of cream cheese, yogurt, mozzarella, parmesan, and other flavorings. Below is a list of everything you’ll need!
- Garlic: First up are 5 small heads of garlic. The red garlic heads are the best in this case, but you can use white if that’s what you have or prefer!
- Olive oil: Next up is 2 tbsp of regular or extra virgin olive oil. This will be used to cook the garlic.
- Cream cheese: 1 block (8oz) of softened cream cheese will serve as the bulk of the dip.
- Greek yogurt: 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt will thicken it up.
- Mayo: Next, 1/4 cup of mayonnaise adds flavor and texture.
- Mozzarella cheese: Cheese really brings this recipe together! Use 1 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella.
- Parmesan cheese: Follow the mozzarella with 1 1/4 cup of parmesan.
- Parsley: Bring in some herb flavors with 1/4 cup chopped parsley.
- Garlic powder: Add an extra touch of garlic by throwing in 1/2 tsp of garlic powder.
- Salt: Finally, finish off the recipe with 1/2 tsp of salt.
- To serve: Enjoy this dip with garlic bread dippers, crostini, crackers, toasted baguette, or your favorite chips!
