Ingredients used to make Greek burgers with tzatziki sauce
When it comes to making the turkey burger patties for this recipe, things couldn’t be easier. We will be blending a mix of ground turkey, red onion, spinach, and various spices.
Oh, and don’t forget the feta! This ingredient takes the patties to the next level.
- Ground turkey
- Feta
- Garlic
- Red onion
- Spinach
- Oregano
- Salt
- Pepper
- Tzatziki sauce
Tools used to make this recipe
To make this Greek food recipe, a few tools are needed for both the burger and the sauce portions. To make the burgers, you will need a mixing bowl, a skillet, and a spatula. For the sauce, you will need two mixing bowls and a stirring utensil.

How to make healthy Greek turkey burgers with tzatziki
This ground turkey recipe is made exactly how you’d expect. After mixing the ground meat with various ingredients, we will form them into patties and let them sizzle on the stove for a bit before diving into making the sauce. In total, this meal should only take about 20-25 minutes to create!
To make Greek burgers, start by combining all of the burger ingredients in a bowl. Using your hands, mix until everything well combined.
Form the mix into patties, using about 1/2 cup of meat for each.
Next, heat a large cast-iron or nonstick skillet with 2 tbsp of avocado oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the burgers.
Cook for 5 minutes on one side, and then flip and turn the heat to medium low. Cover for the next 5 minutes so the inside cooks. Repeat until all of the burgers are fully cooked.
After cooking, prepare the healthy tzatziki sauce recipe using the directions listed in the sauce recipe.
Serve with onion and tomato on a bread or lettuce bun, and enjoy!
A healthier burger recipe
This recipe is one of my go-to meals because it has so many health benefits. To start, turkey meat is a very filling, lean meat. It’s high in protein and low in fat and provides a quality serving of Vitamin B6. Plus, I sneak extra veggies into the burger mix to provide even more nutrients!
The tzatziki sauce is a refreshing addition that also provides a good amount of protein. It’s made with Greek yogurt, which speaks for itself!
If you’re craving a nice burger but want to stay on the healthier side of things, this recipe is the perfect option.

Turkey burger makin’ tips
Here are some pointers and recommendations for making healthy Greek burgers.
Cooking the turkey burgers
Be sure that the internal temperature of the burgers reaches at least 165F before removing from the skillet. They can be a tad pink, though they should not be overly pink.
Turkey burger cooking length
It should take about 10 minutes to cook a turkey burger, though this can vary depending on how thick you make the patties. 5 minutes per side seems to be the average timeframe.
Can I use store bought tzatziki?
Store bought tzatziki will work just fine in this recipe! Though I like to make my own (it’s so simple!), store bought will save you a few extra minutes and probably tastes just as delicious!
Storing leftovers
Leftover turkey burgers can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Keep them in an airtight container or tightly sealed in plastic wrap.
