Refresh and enjoy the tangy flavor of these easy Lemon Margaritas. They’re made with standard margarita ingredients like tequila and triple sec, but with a lemon twist!

A quick and easy lemon margarita recipe
If you’re in the mood for an icy margarita but want to try something new, consider this lemon margarita the perfect option! With the margarita ingredients we all know and love (looking at you, tequila, triple sec, and simple syrup!), this margarita earns a twist with the addition of lemon juice and lemon seltzer. Much like using lime juice, this lemon rendition supplies tangy, sour flavor. It’s perfect for sipping on a relaxing Friday evening or on Taco Tuesday alongside a plate of chips and queso!

Ingredients in this lemon margarita
This classic margarita get a nice spin when we bring in the lemon juice and lemon seltzer. In addition to that, you will need standard margarita ingredients like tequila, triple sec, and sugar/salt!
- Tequila: The base of this margarita uses 6 oz of blanco tequila.
- Lemon juice: To add the lemon flavor, use 4 oz of freshly squeezed lemon juice. I recommend fresh lemon juice because it creates the best possible flavor!
- Triple sec: Then, add some extra citrus taste with 2 oz of triple sec, Cointreau, or other orange liqueur.
- Simple syrup: To sweeten things up and prevent a bitter taste, 2 oz of simple syrup does the trick. If you prefer a different type of sweetener or even a splash of lemonade, that’s fine! Agave syrup is another option.
- Lemon seltzer: Next, add some carbonation and additional lemon flavor by including 4 oz of lemon seltzer. Any brand is fine!
- Ice: You’ll need about 1 cup of ice cubes for the 2 cocktails.
- Rims: Last but not least, you’ll need a lemon wedge and sugar and/or salt to line the rims.
