limoncello spritz

A delicious twist on a classic beverage

You’ve probably had an Aperol spritz, but what about the lemon-flavored version? This limoncello spritz is a delicious twist on the classic beverage made with lemon liquor, prosecco, and club soda. Limoncello is a liquor made from lemon zest, so it’s nice and tangy and tastes so refreshing in cold drinks.

This easy 3-ingredient drink comes together in under a minute and is made complete with mint and lemon garnishes.

Ingredients needed to make a limoncello spritz

Wondering what you’ll need to make this drink? The answer is simple! Only three main ingredients are required, followed by two optional garnishes. Serve it all up in glasses of ice.

  • Limoncello: First up is the lemoncello. You’ll need 5 oz.
  • Prosecco: Next comes the prosecco! Use 6 oz.
  • Club soda: Add fizz with 2 oz of club soda.
  • Garnishes: Garnish with mint and lemon slices.
  • Ice: Lastly, you’ll need ice to chill everything.

Bar tools useful in making a lemon spritz

To make a homemade limoncello spritz, you don’t need a shaker! Unlike many drinks, this one is made right in the glass by simply stirring the ingredients together. You’ll just need two wine glasses (or similar), a spoon, and a liquor measuring cup. If you don’t have one handy, you could use a standard 1.5oz shot glass.

How to make this limoncello spritz recipe

Making drinks is always pretty simple, but because this one skips the shaker, it’s even easier than usual!

First, fill two wine glasses with ice.

Add the limoncello and prosecco to each glass, and then stir with a spoon. Top off with club soda.

Add the mint and lemon slices to garnish, and enjoy!

How to make this for a crowd

If you’re making drinks for a crowd and want to speed things up a bit, you can make this in a pitcher! That way, you don’t have to measure out ingredients into glasses and can just prepare a big batch.

To do so, I recommend 4x the regular recipe to create 8 servings. In total, that amounts to:

  • 20oz limoncello
  • 24oz prosecco
  • 8oz club soda
  • Extra garnishes
  • Extra ice
