For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a snacker. I used to admire the people who could just eat three square meals a day and not even be tempted by snacks throughout the rest of the day.
A lot of it could have to do with boredom, but I like to credit it to the fact that I’m pretty good at putting together snack plates and have been known to impress a crowd with my creations.
Some of my first ever recipe creations on Erin Lives Whole were my protein balls and my granola, which I would make at the beginning of every week to have on hand as a snack creation because I always find it better to be prepared with snacks than to just be starving, which ultimately leads you to making the worst choices that aren’t even satisfying.
So to prevent that, I always make sure I’m stocked with the best snacks and I thought it would be fun if I could share a few of the easy snack ideas I’ve been enjoying lately!
Sahale Snack Mixes: These babies have been an absolute life savor whenever I’m in a time crunch and look to grab a healthy snack for on-the-go. I’m literally dreaming about the Banana Rum Pecans Glazed Mix right now, but they also have a whole line of incredibly delicious and crave-able nut mixes that go beyond ordinary.
All products are made from high-quality whole, natural ingredients: Non-GMO, Gluten Free, No Artificial Preservatives, Flavors, Colors, or Sweeteners, aka you know you’re only getting the best when you buy Sahale.
They go great with both sweet and savory, and are great on their own as well! I included them on a snack board that I made for a party we had a few weeks ago, and everyone was raving over the deliciously sweet yet salty nut mixes.
Hummus + Veggies: This will always been one of my favorites because the crunch from the veggies, plus the creaminess from the hummus is the most satisfying snack. I love to make my own hummus because that way I am able to control exactly what goes in it, and I even have a few hummus recipes on the blog!
You can use whatever veggies you would like, I personally love the crunch from carrots, cucumbers and peppers, but I also love to add in jicama or even green beans!
Yogurt + Granola + Fruit: A little sweet, a little bit of crunch, and a little creamy. Sometimes I’ll even drizzle some nut butter on top for some added staying power. This combination can be mixed up for all different flavors, but I personally love a plain Greek yogurt with one of my homemade granola recipes on top, and some mixed berries or banana.
The protein and carbohydrate combination will keep you full and help you make it through until your next meal!
Tell me below, what are some of your favorite easy snack ideas?
