We’ll be taking one head of cauliflower and breaking it into florets before adding a delicious buffalo sauce-based layer. The result? Buffalo cauliflower that tastes just like your favorite flavor of wings! And yes, the cauliflower works just as well with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Below are the seven ingredients needed to make this recipe. You probably already have most of them in your pantry!
- Cauliflower: First up, you will need 1 large head of cauliflower. Before using, make sure it’s washed and cut into florets.
- Flour: Next, you will need 1/2 cup of flour. This is used in creating the sauce. If preferred, sub a gluten-free option at a 1:1 ratio.
- Butter: Add flavor by including 2 tbsp of melted butter.
- Buffalo sauce: Finally, the buffalo sauce! You will need 1/2 cup.
- Water: You will also need 1/4 cup of warm water.
- Garlic powder: Add 1/2 tsp of garlic powder for flavor.
- Pepper: Last but not least, finish off the recipe with 1/4 tsp of pepper.

You’ll only need 5 main kitchen tools to make this recipe. It doesn’t get simpler than that! Before you dive in, grab the following items:
- Cutting board
- Chopping knife
- Air fryer
- Small mixing bowl
- Whisk
To measure out ingredients, you will need the following sized cups: 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tbsp, 1/4 cup, and 1/2 cup.
How to make buffalo cauliflower in the air fryer
Let’s be real, anything made in the air fryer is pretty simple! Here’s how it’s done when it comes to buffalo cauliflower.
First, preheat the air fryer to 400°F and grease the air fryer basket or tray.
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, melted butter, buffalo sauce, and warm water. Stir in the garlic powder and pepper. Once combined, the mix should be thick like pancake batter.
Next, add the chopped cauliflower to a large bowl and pour the batter on top. Toss until the cauliflower is evenly coated on all sides.
Lay the cauliflower in the greased air fryer tray and cook for 14-16 minutes, or until it begins to turn golden brown. Serve with a side of ranch, and enjoy!

- 1 large head cauliflower, washed and cut into florets
- 1/2 cup flour (sub gluten free 1–1 flour)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 400F. Grease air fryer basket or tray.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, melted butter, buffalo sauce, and warm water. Stir in garlic powder and pepper. This should be thick like a pancake batter.
